A 4 day self-guided bike tour in the Central Valley of Chile around astonishing landscapes of the Pacific Ocean and wine country. Matanzas beach, a famous surfing spot in Central Chile is a one-of-a kind retreat. Santa Cruz, a quaint town in the middle of Colchagua Valley will be the perfect complement to an astonishing 4-day bike ride.

Itinerary

Day 1: SANTO DOMINGO TO MATANZAS

We will pick you up from your hotel to take you to our departure point 15km off  Santo Domingo, an exclusive beach resort. Our aim today is reaching the breathtaking beach of Matanzas, a secluded spot that only recently has gained a well-deserved recognition on the tourist map of Chile.

Distance:                                                51km – 32 miles

Transportation services:                     Valparaíso to Santo Domingo. Support vehicle along the route. Drop-off in Matanzas

 

Day 2: DAY OFF AT MATANZAS

Today you will have a free day to wander around the astonishing coast of Matanzas. Navidad, Topocalma and Puertecillo are just a few of the places you might venture around

 

Day 3: MATANZAS TO MARCHIGÜE

Today’s biking adventure will take us along the Central Zone of Chile to get a flavor of our deepest traditions and the culture of this part of the country, away from the throngs of tourists. Gentle landscapes and the peaceful rhythm of the countryside will envelop us, in an invigorating combination of biking and culture.

Transportation services:                     Matanzas to Navidad. Support vehicle along the route. Drop-off in Marchigüe

Day 4: SANTA CRUZ TO VIÑA VIK – BACK TO SANTIAGO

Our route today will take us to remarkable places where time has stood still for centuries. We will depart at Santa Cruz and head to Viña Vik, one of the newest additions in this remarkable valley.

Our route will take us along old country roads, and we will reach Las Azudas de Larmahue, the century-old wooden water mills still working in Chile and Spain show the human ingenuity to solve in a simple way complex engineering problems. Larmahue is a unique place, little known even by the Chilean people.

Our tour finishes today at the exclusive Viña Vik, where we will visit the impressive winery and have a tour and wine tasting (not included in our price)

Distance:                                                62km – 39miles

Transportation services:                     Santa Cruz to departure point. Support vehicle along the route. Back to Santiago
